again

had another fantastic run along the sea-wall - this time w. adam in the stroller. last night i spoke on spiritual war-fare. there was a guy there who was obviously quite disturbed. i was certain that he was on drugs and that there was also some demonic activity going on. he made no sense as he spoke and came close to punching me for no reason at one point. pray for him.

beautiful spring day in vancouver. went to regent to renew a book - also had lunch w. mike - nice guy who is a part of first@night.

bought a new journal which i am using to record my reflections on the scruptures i read - find it very helpful. also write my prayers in there.

try.

Santosh,

If he is shortish, has a beard and curly hair, it could be that you met a regular Tuesday niter. He comes to Shelter often. He is banned from staying overnight and must eat and leave quickly. If he causes trouble we count to 10 to call 911. I heard he made an appearance at the Sunday AM worship and followed several preachers he recognized out to their cars afterwards. It would not surprise me if he came to 1st at night. Sorry, if you need tips on how to handle him or pray for him, let me know.

actually - i'm pretty sure this was not a shelter individual - he was very well dressed and put $100 in the offering plate.

Two birds with one stone(r). Someone who needs Jesus and someone to help with finances.

A son of one of the people from our church spoke one sunday morning. He just turned 17 or 18, but started doing drugs when he was 15, and then got hooked on crack the first time he used it. Was living on the streets of Kelowna, robbed 2.5 backs in one day to get money for drugs, but got caught on the last one. Got cleaned up at a Christian Centre, and is doing well..... what I learned from him is that the enemy wants to reck your life, and God wants to make you a new person. I also look at the street people differently now - cause God really loves them.
