17 of these books were for my doctorate work. I read 2 books for the 2nd time - Secrets of the Vine by Bruce Wilkinson and Prayer by Hans Urs Von Balthusar.
The most significant books in terms of personal growth were by Rob Reimer and Ruth Haley Barton. Reimer is one of my profs at Seminary and quite an amazing guy. Both these writers address the inner life in a very accessible way. As my ministry and life continue to get busier and more complex, I need the discipline of pulling back and hearing the voice of God. Reimer and Barton are helpful guides for that.
Will write more in the coming days on other significant books from this list.
